Dead Poets Salon and Open Mic

Every month we host our Dead Poets Salon. In the first half of the evening we hear about and from our dead poet of the month: think of it as half-way between a talk and a reading. We call the poet back to life with us for a while. Then we refresh our glasses and the open mic begins. We are open to all forms of performance though largely we hear from poets and the occasional singer - that could be you. If you are a poet please pop something in your back pocket for the second half.

This month's poet is Hillaire Belloc. He is remembered today for his 'Cautionary Tales', humorous poem-stories for children, but he lived an extraordinary life and wrote much other poetry as well as travel writing and other prose.
